General Axe Throwing Information

Participants must be at least 14 years old to participate in axe throwing at Champion Lanes. Minors require adult supervision and guardian consent to participate. 

At Champion Lanes, safety is our top priority. All participants are required to sign a waiver before throwing axes. We have trained staff on hand to provide instructions and ensure all safety rules are followed. Protective gear is provided, and we enforce strict safety guidelines, including maintaining a safe distance from the throwing area and using only approved axes. 

Reservations are recommended to ensure you have a spot, especially during busy times. You can reserve your axe throwing lane by calling us at 812-698-5409 or messaging us on Facebook. Walk-ins are welcome, but availability may be limited. 

The pricing for axe throwing at Champion Lanes is as follows: 

• Wednesday & Thursday: $15.00 per hour, per person (min 2 people), $13.00 per hour for each additional person.
• Friday & Saturday: $20.00 per hour, per person (min 2 people), $18.00 per hour for each additional person.
  
• We also offer a Mix N Match Special, where you get half off 1 hour of axe throwing with the purchase of 1 hour of bowling.

Up to 6 people can participate on a single axe throwing lane. If you have a larger group, multiple lanes can be reserved to accommodate everyone. 

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Closed-toe shoes are required for safety reasons. Avoid loose clothing, scarves, or dangling accessories that might interfere with your throwing motion. 

No prior experience is necessary! Our trained staff will provide you with a safety briefing and instructions on how to throw axes. Whether you're a first-timer or an experienced thrower, you'll have a great time with us.

At Champion Lanes, the scoring system is manual for axe throwing. After each throw, players manually enter their score using the touch screen next to their lane. This allows for flexibility in scoring and keeps the game engaging without automated detection.

Champion Lanes offers a variety of exciting games in the standard axe throwing experience. These include:

Each game offers a unique challenge and can be customized to suit your skill level, making every visit a new adventure! 

In Duck Hunter: 

• players aim to hit as many flying ducks as possible while avoiding the rubber ducky, which results in a penalty of -2 points. 
• The game can be played in easy mode with 5 frames or hard mode with 10 frames. 
• Each successful hit results in a burst of feathers, and players compete to rack up the highest score by taking down the most ducks! 

In Tic-Tac-Toe:

• two players or teams compete to get three in a row on the target board. 
• Each throw allows you to claim a square by hitting it with your axe. 
• However, if your opponent hits the same square, they clear it! 
• The game requires both strategy and precision as players battle to complete a line before their opponent does. 

Line-Up-Four is similar to the classic Connect Four game but with axes. 

• Players take turns throwing their axes at columns on the board, with each successful hit dropping a "chip" into that column. 
• The goal is to be the first player to line up four chips in a row—whether horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. 

In Zombie Hunter:

• players face a post-apocalyptic challenge: eliminate all 10 zombies on the target board without hitting the friendly yellow emoji. 
• The game can be played in easy or hard mode, with 5 or 10 frames. 
• Precision is key, as hitting zombies earns points, but hitting the emoji results in penalties. 
• It’s a thrilling game of skill and accuracy.
